Monday Nights with WBGO, hosted by Brian Delp of WBGO's "Jazz After Hours."
Multi-Grammy nominee, composer, percussionist and educator Bobby Sanabria leads the recently Grammy-nominated Manhattan School of Music Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra in an incredible evening of big band mambo, jazz, and beyond.
"Now 50 years after it was released to the public, we honor Mario Bauza, Machito and all of the musicians who participated on the original recording with Kenya Revisited Live!!!. Recorded live in concert, you'll hear a new generation of players tackle this incredible music as it's re-worked with new, progressive arrangements that reflect the current state of jazz virtuosity. Rejoice as the torch is passed to these young fire-breathing dragons who have dedicated their lives to America's greatest art form, jazz, and the branch of that art form that represents all of the Americas, Latin jazz." - Bobby Sanabria on Kenya Revisited Live!!!
One lucky attendee will be randomly selected before the performance to win a collection of three of Bobby Sanabria's Grammy-nominated CDs, plus a 30th Anniversary WBGO cap. Four other winners will receive a copy of Kenya Revisited Live!!!
