One of the most influential pianists of modern jazz, Bill Evans' lyrical style has inspired generations of musicians. Pianist Bill Charlap shows what made Bill Evans great by playing his classic compositions ('Waltz For Debby') with his great collaborators, like legendary guitarist Jim Hall. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will be on hand to play big band arrangements of Bill Evans' best-loved works.
Free pre-concert discussion, nightly, 7pm
Join JLCO saxophonist and arranger of selections from the evening’s concert, Ted Nash, and Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Ken Druker in a conversation about Bill Evans.
