Hoppin' John String Band at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola

Over the past 4 seasons, The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad has featured 118 musicians from 31 ensembles, and visited 97 countries on five continents. In all, we have logged over 700 days of touring.

Each tour schedule consists of a variety of activities abroad – from public concerts and master classes to lecture-demonstrations, workshops, jam sessions, collaborations with local musicians and media outreach. In addition, ensembles will be showcased in two series of free performances in the U.S.—in New York by Jazz at Lincoln Center at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Frederick P. Rose Hall and in Washington, D.C. presented by National Geographic Live! at the Grosvenor Auditorium.
